Have you heard the NEWS?!!! SANTA  is coming to the studio on Saturday December 7, 2013.  We are so excited and can't wait to capture all the excitment as children come and get to spend quality time with SANTA.  It's the perfect time to get those adorable Christmas photos and to allow your child time to visit with SANTA and share their holiday wish list as well as give me a big ole' hug.  They love it.  It's one of my favorite sessions each year; it's just magical to see the excitement and pure joy in the eyes of a child.  Priceless for sure!

It super easy to book your session; simply call the studio at 972.877.4778 or email us at deanna@specialtyphotography.biz.  The session fee is just $39 and will include your session and the hosting of your online gallery.  This year you will receive your online gallery within days of your session.  You will have 7 days to view your gallery, select your favorites and complete your order.    Your gallery will have 10 - 15 images for you to preview and select from.

One of the questions that I get often is do I have to do a session fee per child?  The answer is no.  You can actually do one session fee for your children, just know that the images and time with SANTA will be shared by your children.  If you want more photos of each child, then you can actually book them each a session.  It's truly up to what works best for you and your family.    **Please note:  the combining of children in a session is limited to each individual family.

Teddy Bears & Toys for Christmas {North Texas Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

It's that time of year when we are gearing up for the Fall & Christmas Season, and this year we wanted to include a little GIVING BACK into the mix of it all.    If you have a session scheduled between Now and December 15, 2013 (or you will be scheduling one)  you are welcome to participate in our Teddy Bear & Toy drive for Cook Children's Hospital.   To get involved all you have to do is bring a new Teddy Bear or unwrapped toy with you to your view & order appointment here at the studio to donate it.  You will in turn receive one of our 2014 Portrait Calendars; in digital format.  You can share your calendar on social media, email to friends & family and even print them for New Year gifts to your closest friends & family.    It's just our GIFT to YOU for being so awesome and joining us in the effort to gather lots of Teddy Bears & Toys to drop off to the hosiptal the week prior to Christmas.    It is just a great way that we can bring SMILES to the faces of children and warm a parents heart during a difficult time of facing a child's illness.

5th Annual "Boo @ the Barn" {North Texas Children Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

This week I will be sharing some of our exciting FALL events that we have coming up here at Specialty Photography.  I LOVE Fall!  Love all the Holiday's, family times and of course all the awesome photo's that are taken this time of year.  Plus... the air get's cooler & the colors are always so breathtaking {nothing to do with my specials, but hey it's just some reasons I love FALL lol!}

Today I am thrilled to share with you about our 5th Annual "Boo @ the Barn" (truly can not believe we will be celebrating 5 years in business this coming January - whoohoo)  Our "Boo @ the Barn" has always been a way for us as a studio to give back to our community by having a fun night that is FREE to the community & always provides help to organizations that ultimately help those in need.   Last year we collected TEDDY BEARS that went to the Venus Fire Department as well as Cook Children's Hospital.  I had a blast delivering all those awesome bears to both places.  This year we have decided to do the same thing only this year we are going to be collecting Teddy Bears and/or New unwrapped toys.  When we dropped off the Teddy Bears last year to Cook Children's Hospital we were so blessed to see all the donations coming in for those families who had to spend Christmas in the Hospital; what a special gift that all those around brought Christmas to them.   How could we NOT be involved in that opportunity again.  It absolutely just touched my heart so much.  It seems like such a small thing to give a Teddy Bear or a New unwrapped toy, but oh the JOY it brings to a family and a child on Christmas Morning when they are away from home and all things that are normal to them and they are fighting an illness that many times seems bigger than life itself.

So, JOIN US at our 5th Annual "Boo @ the Barn" and bring with you a Teddy Bear and/or a New Unwrapped Toy to be given to Cook Children's Hospital just in time for Christmas 2013.  All who attend will receive a FREE 5x7 digital print of your little trick or treater; a little goodie bag & a $50 gift card to the studio that you can use towards your next photo session or print purchase at the studio.  This event is first come, first serve so you don't even have to make an appointment, simply dress up your little one and head on over.

Meet Hunter - Tea Parties & TeePee's {North Texas Children Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

Today I am sharing a little guy that I have been photographing since he was a little baby... Mr. Hunter.   Isn't he adroable?!!  I love photographing him and he loves it too; he is quite a ham in front of the camera :)  Hunter and his mommy came over to be apart of our Model Session for our upcoming limited edition sessions Tea Parties & TeePee's and we had a great time playing and capturing a few adorable photos along the way.  Check out a few of my favorites...

Meet Maggie Rae - Tea Parties & TeePee's {North Texas Children's Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

Today I have another adorable little one to share with you guys from our model sessions here at the studio last week.  Meet little Maggie Rae, she is 9 months old, and loved exploring our Tea Party set design.  This was my first time to meet Maggie Rae but I have known her sweet momma for a long time.  Melissa {Maggie's mom} was apart of our church youth group and my husband and I were involved as youth workers, man that makes me feel old :), but it is truly awesome to see Melissa all grown up and as a loving & caring momma.

I loved meeting Maggie Rae and playing with her and oh you have to check out her adorable little cheeks & eyes :)  Here are a few of my favorites from our session together.

Meet Legend...Tea Parties & TeePee's {North Texas Children Photographer}

Today I am sharing one of several little Model Shoots that we recently held here at the studio for our upcoming Limited Edition session "Tea Parties & TeePee's".  I am thrilled to share a few of my favorite images of little Legend having fun in our TeePee set up.  I had to be super quick though, because Legend wanted to run and play outside {like all little boys do} with his big brother, but I love all the great images I did get.    He is a precious little boy and oh my look at those beautiful eyes.  Thank you Leal family for bringing  Legend to our model shoot.  I loved meeting him and I look forward to photographing his new little brother in October.  I feel so honored that you trust me to capture such amazing moments of your children.

Happy Monday SP Friends...

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend filled with many memories!  My family & I had a great time relaxing hanging out with friends and family, eating great food and of course fun with fireworks.  Oh the perks of living in the country lol!

I Design Baby Collage {Venus, Texas Newborn Photographer}

Hi my friends...

Today I have another new product that is sure to excite all of our expecting momma's.   Our I Design Baby Collage is a  unique and fun way for you to create your own one of kind Heirloom Keepsake that you are sure to enjoy for all time.



Isn't that adorable?!!  Now for the fun part... designing your very own I Design Baby Collage.  The first step is to select your layout design and select the photos {this is all done with my help at your view & order} however, if you have already had your view & order and you want to order one, we can design this via your online gallery.



The second step is to select the colors for your collage.   One tip would be to pick colors that blend well with the images you select and/or go with your nursery colors.  The choice is up to you.



The third step in designing your collage is to select the fun shapes that can add a nice little touch to complete the entire look of your design.



The final step is to select your size.  These fit perfectly on a 12x12, 20x20, 24x24, 30x30, 40x40.  Each I Design Baby Collage can be printed and mounted on art board for long preservation of your design.  You can then frame the image and hang on the wall or you can prop it up on an iron easel for another fantastic display.  You can also choose to print these on a Canvas Gallery Wrap as well, which would come to you ready to hang on the wall.

Highlights... Bunnies & Chicks 2013 {Venus, Texas Child Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

I thought today I would share some of my favorite highlights from our Limited Edition sessions we had for Easter 2013 "Bunnies & Chicks" .  We had our  session about a 2.5 weeks ago on March 23, 2013 and the day was filled with laughter and so much fun.  I enjoyed meeting several new families and kiddos and they all had fun playing with our cute little bunny and chicks.

Here's a few of my favorites for you to enjoy...















 



 

Aren't they all so adorable!! :)  I loved everyone's Easter outfits and how they all mixed so well with our set design :)  But, most of all I loved seeing the laughter and excitement of all the little ones, that is what made my day so much fun.

Our set design was all new and created specifically for our "Bunnies & Chicks" day.  I love creating new set designs and giving our clients something fresh and new at each of our LE sessions.



 

I also want to say THANK YOU to Ty and Kay over at "Coops by Ty" for providing SP with an adorable little bunny and chicks.  In fact, Ty has already shared that he will have us an brand new little bunny and small fluffy little chicks for next year's LE session.  So be ready for another fun filled time for Easter 2014.  Also, take a little time to head on over to Ty & Kay's website they do amazing work and it is all custom work  {click here to visit}

The SP Digital Bragbook is actually your very own personalized app that you can download into any smart phone and/or tablet.  I know in this day and time you simply cannot go anywhere without seeing everyone using their smart devices.  Including all of us here at SP - we are definately hooked :)  It's simply an additional way for you to quickly show off your favorite images from SP with your friends and family while you are on the go.

When you download your SP Digital Bragbook you will see an icon save right to your smart phone and/or pad.  This will have the SP logo, but the app itself will be filled with a few of your favorite images.   Each little brag book is a work of art all on it's own; created with you in mind.

Here is a view of inside the app itself.  You can actually play a slide show of the images or you can scroll through them one at a time,  just like you currently scroll on your phone photos now.  How cool is that?!  Plus...Another fabulous feature from inside the app is how you can contact the studio with just a click.  At the top of the app you can click on our phone number to call us right away or click on the mail icon and email us.    We are always within reach :)

Another awesome cool feature is that you can click SHARE right inside the app and share your images with friends & family via facebook, twitter, pinterest, text message or through email.  Makes it oh so quick and easy to share.

 The final page in each and every bragbook will have a studio referral page.  I love referrals and I want to reward you for sharing the studio with friends & family.   With each referral you and the person you refer will recieve a print credit here at the studio that can be applied to your next booking.  So, SHARE! SHARE! SHARE!

Awesome NEW products at SP {North Texas Portrait Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

I am always on the look out for unique new items that enable us to produce amazing portrait art for you our clients and OH I have to say that these two are amazing.  These two may not be huge in size, but the artistic look and design of each one paired with your images is sure to make a lasting impression in any room.

Our new 5x7 Gallery Stands are photographically printed on Metallic Paper and then laminated over a solid wood construction and then paired with an easel back.  Each one is delivered complete and ready for display.  I will be custom designing each one that is ordered.  You have endless options with these adorable Gallery Stands, you can match a custom Canvas Wall Gallery or even your custom announcements.  Plus... they work for any event that you are celebrating,  the birth of a baby, the excitement of the grad or the romance of true love.



 

Our second new product is the "Photo Cube"  Each cube is created by 4 custom designs all joined together to create an adorable little cube.  These are 4x4 and are stackable, so you decide just how many you want to use to create your own one of kind photo display in your home.  These adorable little cubes are made out of the same materials as the 5x7 Gallery Stands and are easly cleaned off with a soft damp cloth.   



 

I will have many new samples coming into the studio over the next couple of months, so be sure and check them all out on your next visit in.   In a week and half my Mom (Anna) and I are heading to Imaging USA and I know that I am sure to find a few more amazing ways to display the ones you love in your home and office.  Be sure and check back, I will be doing blog post on Imaging USA towards the end of January.
