Santa's Visit to the studio {North Texas Children Photographer}

I thought today I would share some of the highlights from Santa's visit to the studio early this month.  We had a fantastic time and oh my goodness, did I love seeing the children's faces as they rang the bell and watched for Santa to appear and join them for a visit.  So much fun!!   Santa truly enjoyed sharing hugs, reading the "Night Before Christmas", and of course hearing all the wishes for toys from the children :)

We also collected Toys, books & stuffed animals to share with Cook Children's Hospital just in time for Christmas.  I loved seeing the children proudly share their toys as they arrived to each session, such a blessing to see kids sharing with kids.  So, Thank You parents for making that happen, I know that many children were blessed on Christmas Morning with your special gifts :)

Celebrating 30+ years... {North Texas Family Photographer}

Oh my goodness!!  I had such a joy photographing & spending time with this wonderful couple recently;  in celebration of many wonderful years of marriage.  What a joy it is to see the love, the laughter and true friendship that just seeps out and overflows from them both.   Their photo session took place at their beautiful home.  We started out inside the house taking in some of the lights and festive decor' of a home that is totally ready for Christmas, then we headed outside and took in the beautiful day and their amazing backyard get away.    The backyard is just that a little get away, all landscaped in different area's and provided the perfect place to create images and to capture these two just as they are today.  Happy, in Love and Celebrating!

Have you heard the news?!! SANTA is coming...{North Texas Children Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

Have you heard the NEWS?!!! SANTA  is coming to the studio on Saturday December 7, 2013.  We are so excited and can't wait to capture all the excitment as children come and get to spend quality time with SANTA.  It's the perfect time to get those adorable Christmas photos and to allow your child time to visit with SANTA and share their holiday wish list as well as give me a big ole' hug.  They love it.  It's one of my favorite sessions each year; it's just magical to see the excitement and pure joy in the eyes of a child.  Priceless for sure!

It super easy to book your session; simply call the studio at 972.877.4778 or email us at deanna@specialtyphotography.biz.  The session fee is just $39 and will include your session and the hosting of your online gallery.  This year you will receive your online gallery within days of your session.  You will have 7 days to view your gallery, select your favorites and complete your order.    Your gallery will have 10 - 15 images for you to preview and select from.

One of the questions that I get often is do I have to do a session fee per child?  The answer is no.  You can actually do one session fee for your children, just know that the images and time with SANTA will be shared by your children.  If you want more photos of each child, then you can actually book them each a session.  It's truly up to what works best for you and your family.    **Please note:  the combining of children in a session is limited to each individual family.

Teddy Bears & Toys for Christmas {North Texas Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

It's that time of year when we are gearing up for the Fall & Christmas Season, and this year we wanted to include a little GIVING BACK into the mix of it all.    If you have a session scheduled between Now and December 15, 2013 (or you will be scheduling one)  you are welcome to participate in our Teddy Bear & Toy drive for Cook Children's Hospital.   To get involved all you have to do is bring a new Teddy Bear or unwrapped toy with you to your view & order appointment here at the studio to donate it.  You will in turn receive one of our 2014 Portrait Calendars; in digital format.  You can share your calendar on social media, email to friends & family and even print them for New Year gifts to your closest friends & family.    It's just our GIFT to YOU for being so awesome and joining us in the effort to gather lots of Teddy Bears & Toys to drop off to the hosiptal the week prior to Christmas.    It is just a great way that we can bring SMILES to the faces of children and warm a parents heart during a difficult time of facing a child's illness.

5th Annual "Boo @ the Barn" {North Texas Children Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

This week I will be sharing some of our exciting FALL events that we have coming up here at Specialty Photography.  I LOVE Fall!  Love all the Holiday's, family times and of course all the awesome photo's that are taken this time of year.  Plus... the air get's cooler & the colors are always so breathtaking {nothing to do with my specials, but hey it's just some reasons I love FALL lol!}

Today I am thrilled to share with you about our 5th Annual "Boo @ the Barn" (truly can not believe we will be celebrating 5 years in business this coming January - whoohoo)  Our "Boo @ the Barn" has always been a way for us as a studio to give back to our community by having a fun night that is FREE to the community & always provides help to organizations that ultimately help those in need.   Last year we collected TEDDY BEARS that went to the Venus Fire Department as well as Cook Children's Hospital.  I had a blast delivering all those awesome bears to both places.  This year we have decided to do the same thing only this year we are going to be collecting Teddy Bears and/or New unwrapped toys.  When we dropped off the Teddy Bears last year to Cook Children's Hospital we were so blessed to see all the donations coming in for those families who had to spend Christmas in the Hospital; what a special gift that all those around brought Christmas to them.   How could we NOT be involved in that opportunity again.  It absolutely just touched my heart so much.  It seems like such a small thing to give a Teddy Bear or a New unwrapped toy, but oh the JOY it brings to a family and a child on Christmas Morning when they are away from home and all things that are normal to them and they are fighting an illness that many times seems bigger than life itself.

So, JOIN US at our 5th Annual "Boo @ the Barn" and bring with you a Teddy Bear and/or a New Unwrapped Toy to be given to Cook Children's Hospital just in time for Christmas 2013.  All who attend will receive a FREE 5x7 digital print of your little trick or treater; a little goodie bag & a $50 gift card to the studio that you can use towards your next photo session or print purchase at the studio.  This event is first come, first serve so you don't even have to make an appointment, simply dress up your little one and head on over.

Highlights... Bunnies & Chicks 2013 {Venus, Texas Child Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

I thought today I would share some of my favorite highlights from our Limited Edition sessions we had for Easter 2013 "Bunnies & Chicks" .  We had our  session about a 2.5 weeks ago on March 23, 2013 and the day was filled with laughter and so much fun.  I enjoyed meeting several new families and kiddos and they all had fun playing with our cute little bunny and chicks.

Here's a few of my favorites for you to enjoy...















 



 

Aren't they all so adorable!! :)  I loved everyone's Easter outfits and how they all mixed so well with our set design :)  But, most of all I loved seeing the laughter and excitement of all the little ones, that is what made my day so much fun.

Our set design was all new and created specifically for our "Bunnies & Chicks" day.  I love creating new set designs and giving our clients something fresh and new at each of our LE sessions.



 

I also want to say THANK YOU to Ty and Kay over at "Coops by Ty" for providing SP with an adorable little bunny and chicks.  In fact, Ty has already shared that he will have us an brand new little bunny and small fluffy little chicks for next year's LE session.  So be ready for another fun filled time for Easter 2014.  Also, take a little time to head on over to Ty & Kay's website they do amazing work and it is all custom work  {click here to visit}

2013 Limited Edition Sessions for Specialty Photography|Venus,Texas Photographer

Hi Friends,

Limited Edition Sessions are themed mini sessions that we host here at the studio.  Each session is 20  minutes and will provide you with 10 – 15 images to proof at your view and order session.  Approx. 7 days after your session you will return to the studio for your view and order session.  This is where you will preview your images and select your favorite images and purchase your package and/or prints of choice.  *There is no minimum purchase requirement on LE sessions and you will enjoy a lower session and package fee’s.   LE sessions are designed to give you the opportunity to capture your growing child on a regular basis throughout their childhood years.

Special Note:  Lt. Edition session are just that Limited in availability, so please book early for the sessions that you are interested in, when they are full they are full.  Lt. Edition Sessions start at 10am and run through 6pm on their scheduled date, however, you do have to pre-book your session time to attend.

Our "Bunnies & Chicks" Limited Edition Set makes the perfect backdrop for fun and treasured Easter Photos. All of our LE sets or created fresh each year and no too are ever alike. Studio Special for Mother's Day  

Our "Mommy & Me" session is a priceless session to celebrate that one of kind relationship between a mother and child. The background is simple, solid colors so that you and your child are the focus of the scene.

Our "Tea Parties & Teepee's" Limited Edition Session is a day filled with dress up and adventure. This is sure to produce lots of smiles and timeless art of your little one.   Lot's of creativity and exploration. {props include: a tee pee; tea set, teddy bears, pearls just to name a few}
Dress your little adventurer:
Boys: Denim overalls or jeans and solid color button up shirt. How about adding a cute hat and going without shoes (weather permitting)
Girls: a vintage cream color dress with small flower print, or solid color vintage dress. Skirts and shirts would work great too. How about adding a cute little purse and gloves.



Our 5th Annual "Boo @ the Barn" event has NO session Fee and is a fun, family event while making a difference in the lives of Children in the DFW area.   This year we will be collecting New Teddy Bears and/or New Toys that will be going to Cook Children's Hospital for the Christmas Season.  It's an amazing way to brighten the life of a sick child and makes a huge difference.  Our event is a first come, first serve event; meaning you do not need to make an appointment to attend.  Just stop by anytime between 4 and 8pm on October 31, 2013.   All who attend will receive a treat bag along with a Gift Card to the studio and with any donation you will also receive a complimentary 5x7 Digital Keepsake Image.



Our "Fall Leaves" set is an on location Limited Edition Set. This one can include your immediate family. This session is filled with amazing Fall Colors and always planned in a park setting. We will give you the park location once your appointment is confirmed and booked.   This is the perfect way to get a few family portraits just in time for those Holiday Cards.



Our "Christmas in the Country" Limited Edition Set is always a big hit. You don't want to miss out on the fun. Christmas lights and Excitment of SANTA {North Texas Children Photographer}

Happy New Year!  Can you believe it is 2013, it seems like the year and the holiday season flew right by.  Our family had many wonderful get together's and celebrations, I pray that you too enjoyed all your holiday festivities with the ones you love.

Today I am excited to share our last session of 2012.  This session was held at the studio the week of Christmas and oh what fun we had.  The afternoon was a cold winter day, but inside the studio we had lots of warmth,  the wonderful lights of the season and the excitement of Santa Claus to make it all complete.     These 3 little clients were here in Texas visiting their grandpa (Mr. Gramigna), which happens to live right across the street from us, all the way from North Carolina.  I was delighted to have the opportunity to meet them and hang out with them during such a fantastic time of year.  I love seeing Christmas through the eyes of a Child.... it is simply priceless.

Christmas through the eyes of a child {North Texas Children Photographer}

Hi there my SP friends....

I hope you are all enjoying the Christmas festivities going on, it's such a wonderful time of year!!  Saturday we had our Christmas in the Country Limited Edition session {as well as SANTA} here at the studio.  I had a wonderful time photographing these two precious little boys... Landon and Austin.  They had made a day of our their Christmas photos, they got to spend the morning with their Mom and Nana going to get hair cuts (loved their spiked hair look), going to lunch at McDonald's (what kiddo doesn't love that!) and then heading out to SP for their time with SANTA and their Christmas photos.  It was an amazing day for these two little guys, and I bet Mom and Nana had a ball too :)  Love to see families creating memories together!

 They were not too keen on SANTA though... however, after these photos they did enjoy shaking his hand, giving him high fives and of course saying bye bye when he had to go.

Santa Paws {North Texas Photographer}

Hi SP Friends....

I am thrilled to be apart of a fantastic event that will benefit the Ellis County SPCA this year.  Santa Paws!  Pet photos with Santa!!  Your favorite four-legged friend can share in the holiday spirit and have their own photo with SANTA this year and help local animals in need, thanks to the Ellis County SPCA.  Please Join us at the following locations for all the fun...

1st Stop:

• Date:  Saturday December 15th


• Time:  10am - 2pm


• Where:  Tractor Supply in Waxahachie, Texas

2nd Stop:

• Date:  Saturday December 22nd


• Time:  10am - 2pm


• Where:  Ace Hardware in Midlothian, Texas

Each Santa Pet Photo will be  $15 and that will include your digital image (with a print release, so that you can print where ever you desire) and more importantly the funds will be benefiting  the SPCA.

Some of the needs that the SPCA has right now are:

• Food


• Blankets


• rawhide chewy toys


• paper towels


• cat liter


• toys for pets

Any donation would be much appreciated to help them to continue to do what they do each and every day for the pets of Ellis County.

We look forward to seeing you there.  Together we can make a difference for Ellis County animals.
