Meet Elowyn | Venus Texas Newborn Photographer

Meet little Elowyn and her big sister Evie!   They are absolutely precious little girls.  At just 7 days new Elowyn did amazing and cuddled right up in all of her newborn sets.  Big Sister Evie wasn't too sure about taking photos at first, but she did amazing too and we have priceless images from the session.   These truly grow in value as time marches on.  I tell my clients all the time, you will be so so glad you took the time to get these images.  They will never be this little again.

Peanuts & Cracker Jacks {North Texas Children Photographer}

"For the Love of the Game"
 

Our "Peanuts & Cracker Jack's" Limited Edition session is coming up on Sunday June 1, 2014.  This is a Vintage Baseball inspired set design that you are sure to love.  The background is a vintage scoreboard and a wood floor.  Our set will have old baseball gloves, bats, and of course baseballs.  Plus... peanuts and cracker jacks.

So, if you or your little one has a love for the game, this is a fun little session just for them.

Wondering what to wear?  denim shorts, white t-shirt, baseball cap would be perfect.  or, how about denim shorts, button up shirt and a fedora hat to put a spin on things.
 

*you simply bring your little dressed, we will provide the awesome set and props for fun.  However, if you have an old glove, bat or hat that you want to use in your session, feel free to bring it along.   It would be cool for Dad or Mom's old glove to make it into the photoshoot.

He Asked....She said YES {North Texas Wedding Photographer}

Oh the cuteness of a newly engaged couple, the excitement and joy of true love is so amazing and so much fun to watch it through my camera lens.  I love being able to plan out a session and then have a blast with a couple during their engagement photo session.

Andrew and Angela are pretty amazing and make such an adorable couple.  We have know Andrew since our kids were little.  Andrew is another one of my son's good friends, and he is also the brother of my adorable new daughter in law Amie.  So, this couple is pretty special to me and I am so very honored to be able to celebrate their new engagement with them and to capture such an amazing time for them.

Here are just a few of our favorites...

 Here's the story behind the football portion of our photo shoot...  Andrew's best friend Drew got married in April of 2013 and they threw the football with the garter on it during Drew's wedding and guess who caught it.  Yep you go it... Andrew.   Drew is also going to be Andrew's best man at his upcoming wedding.  So exciting and I was so glad that Andrew and Angela brought this along for their photo shoot.  Super Special!!

 

Oh don't you just love them!  They make an adorable couple.  Andrew & Angela thank you so much for allowing me to be apart of this amazing new journey in your lives.  I wish you both years and years of happiness.

Sarah Part 2 {North Texas Senior Photographer}

Today I am thrilled and honored to share with you a recent Senior photo session that we had with our daughter Sarah.  Sarah will be graduating in just a few more weeks from HPU with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in English.  We are super proud of her and look forward to watching her cross the stage in the very near future.  Such a great accomplishment and we are grateful to be able to share in that joy & celebration as a family.

This session we wanted to capture the HPU campus and some of the places around the area that are unique and will bring back memories for her in the future.   We meet up with Sarah on a Sunday afternoon, and let me just say, it was a typical spring day in Texas.  It actually rained on us pretty much the whole way to Brownwood, but luckily by the time we put together all of her outfit choices and gathered up our props, the rain stopped.  We ended up with a wonderful late afternoon day which could not have been more perfect. 

Here are just a few of our favorite images from the day...

The Bell Towers.  They are such a beautiful location on campus and one that holds such tradition for HPU students.  When Sarah started college as a freshman she along with her whole class participated in a ceremony called "CHIME IN"  in which the new students are prayerfully welcomed into the university family.  As Sarah graduates this year, she will participate in a "CHIME OUT" ceremony  in which seniors pass a garland representing responsibility to members of the junior class.

I am sure as a momma I will tear up with pride again as my daughter marches with her graduating class during Chime Out. 

 Love these fun photos!!  She is just about finished and reached another one of our goals in life.  She loves children and teaching and is so excited about moving into the next chapter of her life.

Love this one too {actually I love them all - I am pretty sure I will be making an album}.  I just might have to print this one on a BIG canvas in my house. 

 

The tower here is standing in representation of the original Old Main building.  It's such a beautiful site that is located right in the middle of Campus.

 We are still waiting on the actual Cap & Gown {so I will be getting some of those photos on Graduation day}   I will share those in Part 3 on the blog once Graduation and her Party are over.

This is the gate that each freshman class and senior class march through for either the Chime In or Chime Out ceremony.  Such a beautiful campus filled with such heritage and tradition.

Introducing Amie Jo Belser {North Texas Portrait Photographer}

Whoop!  Whoop!!  Today I finally get to share these amazingly fun & beautiful bridal photos of our daughter -in- law "Amie Jo Belser".   Our son Brad and Amie were married Saturday March 1, 2014 and it was absolutely the most beautiful perfect day.  I can't wait to get their wedding photos and be able to share a few of those with you all too.  In the meantime though I do get to show off this beautiful Bride!

Amie is the perfect match for our son Brad and she fits our family perfectly, just as God planned it to be.  We are so thankful, blessed and excited to have her and Dannah as apart of our family.

Bunnies & Chicks 2014 {North Texas Children Photographer}

Can you believe it?!! Spring is just around the corner and that means Easter will soon be here.  It's time to start thinking about Easter photos and we have just the perfect day in mind for you.  We are so excited to offer our "Bunnies & Chicks" Limited Edition sessions again this year.  Last year we had a total blast and we are looking forward to another fantastic event.

Our "Bunnies & Chicks" LE Session will indeed have LIVE bunnies & little baby chicks for your little one's to explore, pet, hold and all the while we will be snapping away to capture some sweet fun Easter photos.  Our set this year is filled with a little bit of country charm, with lots of cream, pastel colors, so truly any Easter outfit will look wonderful in our set design.  We also have a variety of props that we will use throughout the day to make each and every session just a little bit different and unique to each child or family.

Specialty Photography has a new look {North Texas Portrait Photogarpher}

Whoop!!  Have you seen our new look yet?!!  If not, today you can check it out.  This month we are celebrating 5 years in business, yep, Specialty Photography is 5 years old.  I love where our business is today and the growth that we have experienced over the years.  I love all the growth I have had personally & professionally and look forward to what the next 5, 10 or even 15 years holds for us.  It's an exciting and wonderful journey for sure.

Our photography truly is a passion, a family business and a way for us to support our family, but it is also a way for us to give back to our community and to make a difference in the lives of our clients.  That is truly an honor and a blessing and for that I am so very grateful to be able to do what I do each day.
