Meet Deanna; CPP

Owner & Lead Photographer of Specialty Photography

First of all I am a Child of God and seek to serve Him daily in my life.  I have been married to my husband for 35 years and have two amazing grown children with families we adore.  The most beautiful grand daughters, who call me Mimsy.  I Love being a Mimsy!! I love to travel with my hubby, take walks, sit outside and enjoy the sunsets, read, digitally paint, scrapbooking and of course I love photos, and the stories that they tell.  I love getting to know my clients, learning about their families and really just becoming friends.  

I studied photography at New York Institute of Photography and through Professional Photographers of America.  I am an award winning; certified professional photographer.  I am an active member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), and TPPA (Texas Professional Photographer Association). I stay involved with the industry and keep up with continuing education to always improve and grow my skills in lighting, posing, and technique.  I do this by attending conferences throughout the year, online webinars, and attending local guild meetings & workshops in the DFW area.

Professional Accomplishments:

• 2015 I earned my CPP: Certified Professional Photographer designation through the Professional Photographers Association.  
• Earned Merits for print competition at IPC (International Print Competition) in 2016
• Earned an Image Placement in the IPC (International Print Competition) Showcase book in 2016
• Earned Best Illustrative Sport/Event image at TPPA Print Competition in 2016
• Earned many print competition ribbons over the years at FWPPA 
• Joined PPA and have been an active member since 2009
• Joined TPPA and have been an active member since 2014
• Joined FWPPA 2014 and was an active member through 2022
• Served on the board of directors at FWPPA in 2017 and 2022
• Volunteered for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep 2015 & 2016
• Earned my Recertifcation with PPA in 2018 & 2021 (I have to rectify every three years and earn my continuing eduction credits to maintain)

Meet Anna; Studio Assistant

Anna is our studio assistant and always greets everyone with a smile.  She loves helping anyway she can around the studio.  She assist me in most sessions.  She helps maintain light stands and reflectors outside, she helps with set design in the studio, and most importantly helps me keep our tiniest little clients safe during Newborn Sessions and our Children Sessions.  She is a delight and everyone loves getting to know her.

Anna has attended many workshops with me through the years and understands the industry well and always stays up to date with the best techniques in helping with our babies.

And... she is also my sweet momma!  I love that she gets to be apart of all that we do here at the studio.
