I know, I know it is still so very HOT outside here in Texas; but it is that time of year when we start gearing up for the Fall and Christmas season here at Specialty Photography.  Our first of three Mini Sessions is coming on September 13, 2014 and we would LOVE for you to join in the fun!!

This year our Mini Sessions are packaged to include your session fee, printed portraits and some digitial images (for reprinting on your own) and all for one bundled price.  Yea!  Plus... you will have a digital photo Christmas Card ready for printing (with us or whoever you choose) in plenty of time for the Christmas season.   Didn't you say last year that you wanted to get a early jump on the Christmas Season this year?!!  I know you probably did, because I always so that too lol.  So, here's your chance to get going...

SP Back to School Contest

I know that all you mom's take photos on the first day of school :)  I did too and always made signs for my kiddo's to hold and took that photo to document the start of another milestone in the life of my child.  I thought it would be fun to have a little contest here at SP.  It's super easy and YOU could WIN a FREE family portrait session along with a metal photo ornament (with your favorite photo from your session).   So, heres how to enter...

Our family at the beach {North Texas Family Photographer}

Well you guys know that we closed the studio a couple of weeks ago for a few days as we headed off to the beach with our family.  We sure enjoyed the R&R time and of course it's always amazing to spend time with family.  I love that we got to enjoy our whole big family together for several days, truly blesses my heart.

Our vacation destination was Port Aransas, Texas and for those of you don't know, that is right across the bay from Ingleside, Texas where my hubby grew up.  It's always fun to go for visit.

This year we enjoyed the beach, eating awesome food, swimming at the hotel, exploring the World Aquarium and the USS Lexington.   We also had a wonderful evening with my Brother & Sister in Law, who still  leave there.  So thankful for the time we shared and memories that were made.  Such a blessing.

Today I thought I would share with you guys a few of my favorite photos from our family photo shoot on the beach.

Meet the Cato Family {North Texas Family Photographer}

We recently had a session with the Cato Family and I am super excited to get to share the highlights of our time together with you guys today.  What a fun bunch this family is.  We had a blast getting to meet all of their amazing kiddos and to enjoy their interaction with each other.  Family is such a special bond and a blessing and it is always so much fun for me to capture.

well... this is the rest of their amazing family.

I have enjoyed getting to know the Cato family over the years and am so honored that they choose me as their photographer over and over again.  Love that and I am delighted to be able to provide them with images that they can cherish for a lifetime.

Meet the Buck Family

Today I am honored to share with you the "Buck Family".  Ryan and his sweet family are new to our church family and Ryan is our Pastor.  We already have enjoyed getting to know them all and absolutely love this sweet family and their love for the Lord and his people.  They truly do have a heart for ministry and caring for others.

I had the opportunity to capture some fun family photos of them all at the Ft. Worth Theological Seminary recently and what a joy it was to watch the interaction of them and their kiddo's.  Such a wonderful bond they have.  The seminary was the perfect place for their family photo session, not only because it is a beautiful campus but also because it holds a very special place in the heart of their family and plays a very integral part in preparing them for ministry.

Mommy & Me mini sessions {North Texas Family Photographer}

Meet the Spurrier Family {North Texas Family Photographer}

Today I am delighted to share with you the Spurrier Family.  I met Rick and Tracy through my mom (they both worked with my mom in the auto business before she retired) and when they needed family portraits taken they gave me a call.  I have truly enjoyed getting to know Rick and Tracy and their sweet family.  With grown children and grandchildren it is difficult to get everyone together at the same time in the same location for any length of time, but Tracy pulled it all together as a surprise to Rick for his birthday. 

When the session day arrived we were having one of those awesome Texas Weather days where is was raining, storming and had gotten a little chilly again.  So, instead of rescheduling the day (when you have so many schedules involved) we decided to have the session inside of Rick and Tracy's home and boy am I glad we did.  They have a big nice open living space, which made for a great space to grab some photos and then we headed outside (as the rain stopped) and grabbed some fun outdoor photos with Rick's baby (the black suburban)  He loves his cars & family.

Imaging USA... Here we come {North Texas Photographer}

Oh my goodness!!  I am super excited that my hubby and I will be heading out to ImagingUSA this coming Saturday.  It is by far one of my favorite events that I attend each year.  It is a wonderful haven for us photographers.  A place to gain new inspiration, learn new techniques, meet new friends, network and see amazing new products that we can bring into our own studios.  Every year Imaging is in a different place; so of course, we have a great time taking photos and exploring a new state and/or city.  Over the years we have been to... Nashville, San Antonio, New Orleans, Atlanta and this year we are heading to Phoenix and guess what?!  It's going to be in the 70's.  I am super stocked about that, this cold weather is not my favorite time of year.   Ready for some warmer days for sure lol.

The studio will be closed January 11 - January 16, 2014 while we are away at Imaging USA.  However, I will be checking emails, and phone messages a few times a day so feel free to contact us if you need to place an order or book a session.

Country Family Session {North Texas Family Photographer}

Today I am honored to share with you the Avants Family country session.  This session took place very close to the studio on some of the amazing country hide aways that we have.  On the day of our session we were very concerned about having to rescheduled due to the rain & cold weather.  But, to our surprise the rain held out and the afternoon proved to be a beautiful sun shinny day.   Perfect for an outdoor family session.  I love it when the sun is bright and filters through the tree's creating such a beautiful light for our photo shoots. 

I truly enjoyed watching this family share fun and laughter together as we photographed them.  They were excited and up for anything.  Which is always fun!  I am always so honored when a family selects me to photograph their family; but this time was extra special since this was their first family photo shoot.

Celebrating 30+ years... {North Texas Family Photographer}

Oh my goodness!!  I had such a joy photographing & spending time with this wonderful couple recently;  in celebration of many wonderful years of marriage.  What a joy it is to see the love, the laughter and true friendship that just seeps out and overflows from them both.   Their photo session took place at their beautiful home.  We started out inside the house taking in some of the lights and festive decor' of a home that is totally ready for Christmas, then we headed outside and took in the beautiful day and their amazing backyard get away.    The backyard is just that a little get away, all landscaped in different area's and provided the perfect place to create images and to capture these two just as they are today.  Happy, in Love and Celebrating!

Teddy Bears & Toys for Christmas {North Texas Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

It's that time of year when we are gearing up for the Fall & Christmas Season, and this year we wanted to include a little GIVING BACK into the mix of it all.    If you have a session scheduled between Now and December 15, 2013 (or you will be scheduling one)  you are welcome to participate in our Teddy Bear & Toy drive for Cook Children's Hospital.   To get involved all you have to do is bring a new Teddy Bear or unwrapped toy with you to your view & order appointment here at the studio to donate it.  You will in turn receive one of our 2014 Portrait Calendars; in digital format.  You can share your calendar on social media, email to friends & family and even print them for New Year gifts to your closest friends & family.    It's just our GIFT to YOU for being so awesome and joining us in the effort to gather lots of Teddy Bears & Toys to drop off to the hosiptal the week prior to Christmas.    It is just a great way that we can bring SMILES to the faces of children and warm a parents heart during a difficult time of facing a child's illness.

Met the Inmans {North Texas Family Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

Today I am thrilled to share a family with you that I have known for many many years, in fact, our children who are all now grown,  have known each other since they were tiny tots in the church nursery.   Meet the Inmans!  I was so honored & excited when Debbie called and scheduled her family session with me; it was great catching up and learning what everyone was doing now that they have graduated from college.   All three of their children are going in awesome directions building their careers.  Debbie was excited because she knew she had a window of opportunity with all of them being in the same place at the same time long enough for her to get new family portraits taken.

So Debbie & I planned out her session and met up at one of my favorite places for family portraits Trinity Park in Fort Worth, Texas.  I love it because of it's big beauitful tree's that filter light amazingly, and because it is a very large park with many different elements that provide creative and beautiful settings for families.

It was so neat to hang out with this family for a couple of hours during their photo shoot and catch up, just like old times.  It is always amazing to me how quickly time goes by, it truly seems like yesterday that our children were all hanging out in the church nursery.  But, it is joyful to see them grown up as college graduates ready to dive into new directions with careers.  What a blessing!
