 Love this time of year and of course working with such great families!  Nick, Kristi & Riley had their first family photo session at their family farm.  What a beautiful location for Christmas Portraits.   I am so honored that I had the opportunity to capture their first family portrait with little Riley and all in time for Christmas Gifts.

The farm is pretty close to the studio, so we met them there and Nick and Kristi had the most perfect locations picked out.  So we headed out and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon creating their portraits.

Family Sunset Sessions | Venus Texas Family Photographer

 Oh how I love this time of year!  Fall is such a beautiful time with all the color, the cooler night air and the amazing sunsets.   Here at the studio, we have some of the most amazing sunset's and I love the golden flair it gives to portraits!   So make plans now to gather your family and schedule your session time for this month.  It is the perfect time of year to update your family portrait for the wall and to get those loved photo Christmas Cards already to go in the mail, and all before the hustle and bustle of the season begin.

Dates:  October 26, 27 & 28 (all evening appointment times)

This session will take place behind the studio where we have the most amazing sunsets, we have an old rustic car, and beautiful land. It all makes a great variety of settings for your portraits.

The cost is $225 +tax. $50 is due at booking and the balance is due at your session.

Your session includes...

• 30 minute mini session
• 8 high resolution digital images; with a print release
• a private online gallery (for two weeks)
• a smart phone app with your selected 8 images
• fun, laughter and beautiful summertime images

Spring Family Mini Sessions | Venus Texas Family Photographer

Our "Spring Family Mini Session" is scheduled for Saturday April 4, 2020 here at the studio.  The two sets have the look and feel of being outdoors, with no worries of the weather.  Two backgrounds, one amazing set and feel.  One looks like Grandma's Country porch, full of rustic furniture, purple flowers and lots of greenery.  The other set is a set of beautiful barn doors, with hanging vines and white flowers.  

Pricing is:  $225 plus tax for your immediate family.  Want to add a cousin, friend or extended family member (like grandparents) it is $20 per person. 

$50 retainer fee is due when you book and reserve your time slot (see below)

The balance of $175 plus tax is due by the session date.  You can pay Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express

Each session includes...

• 30 minute mini session
• 8 high resolution digital images; with a print release
• a private online gallery (for two weeks)
• a smart phone app with your selected 8 images
• use of our studio sets & props
• fun, laughter and beautiful Spring images

With this mini session you can choose one of the two set designs or you can opt to do both during your allotted time.  

During your mini session we will capture a few poses and interactions with your whole family and then we will photograph parents together, siblings together,  children individually, and children with each parent.

Your digital images will be provided through a secure download.  You will have the option to purchase additional digital images, printed images, albums, canvases and more right within your private gallery.  Be sure and view all of our product options when you are at the studio for your session.

Some helpful tips on dressing for our Mini Session...

You will want to coordinate your families outfits with any of the following colors.  Please stay away from screen printed, logo wear, as this really distracts from portraits.  Spring Colors, Denim, Tan, Cream, White, Green, Mint, Lavender, Purple, Blue, Pink (both light or dark), yellow will look great with these set designs.

Meet the Buck Family

Today I am honored to share with you the "Buck Family".  Ryan and his sweet family are new to our church family and Ryan is our Pastor.  We already have enjoyed getting to know them all and absolutely love this sweet family and their love for the Lord and his people.  They truly do have a heart for ministry and caring for others.

I had the opportunity to capture some fun family photos of them all at the Ft. Worth Theological Seminary recently and what a joy it was to watch the interaction of them and their kiddo's.  Such a wonderful bond they have.  The seminary was the perfect place for their family photo session, not only because it is a beautiful campus but also because it holds a very special place in the heart of their family and plays a very integral part in preparing them for ministry.

Meet the Spurrier Family {North Texas Family Photographer}

Today I am delighted to share with you the Spurrier Family.  I met Rick and Tracy through my mom (they both worked with my mom in the auto business before she retired) and when they needed family portraits taken they gave me a call.  I have truly enjoyed getting to know Rick and Tracy and their sweet family.  With grown children and grandchildren it is difficult to get everyone together at the same time in the same location for any length of time, but Tracy pulled it all together as a surprise to Rick for his birthday. 

When the session day arrived we were having one of those awesome Texas Weather days where is was raining, storming and had gotten a little chilly again.  So, instead of rescheduling the day (when you have so many schedules involved) we decided to have the session inside of Rick and Tracy's home and boy am I glad we did.  They have a big nice open living space, which made for a great space to grab some photos and then we headed outside (as the rain stopped) and grabbed some fun outdoor photos with Rick's baby (the black suburban)  He loves his cars & family.

Country Family Session {North Texas Family Photographer}

Today I am honored to share with you the Avants Family country session.  This session took place very close to the studio on some of the amazing country hide aways that we have.  On the day of our session we were very concerned about having to rescheduled due to the rain & cold weather.  But, to our surprise the rain held out and the afternoon proved to be a beautiful sun shinny day.   Perfect for an outdoor family session.  I love it when the sun is bright and filters through the tree's creating such a beautiful light for our photo shoots. 

I truly enjoyed watching this family share fun and laughter together as we photographed them.  They were excited and up for anything.  Which is always fun!  I am always so honored when a family selects me to photograph their family; but this time was extra special since this was their first family photo shoot.

Celebrating 30+ years... {North Texas Family Photographer}

Oh my goodness!!  I had such a joy photographing & spending time with this wonderful couple recently;  in celebration of many wonderful years of marriage.  What a joy it is to see the love, the laughter and true friendship that just seeps out and overflows from them both.   Their photo session took place at their beautiful home.  We started out inside the house taking in some of the lights and festive decor' of a home that is totally ready for Christmas, then we headed outside and took in the beautiful day and their amazing backyard get away.    The backyard is just that a little get away, all landscaped in different area's and provided the perfect place to create images and to capture these two just as they are today.  Happy, in Love and Celebrating!

Hi SP Friends...

Teddy Bears & Toys for Christmas {North Texas Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

It's that time of year when we are gearing up for the Fall & Christmas Season, and this year we wanted to include a little GIVING BACK into the mix of it all.    If you have a session scheduled between Now and December 15, 2013 (or you will be scheduling one)  you are welcome to participate in our Teddy Bear & Toy drive for Cook Children's Hospital.   To get involved all you have to do is bring a new Teddy Bear or unwrapped toy with you to your view & order appointment here at the studio to donate it.  You will in turn receive one of our 2014 Portrait Calendars; in digital format.  You can share your calendar on social media, email to friends & family and even print them for New Year gifts to your closest friends & family.    It's just our GIFT to YOU for being so awesome and joining us in the effort to gather lots of Teddy Bears & Toys to drop off to the hosiptal the week prior to Christmas.    It is just a great way that we can bring SMILES to the faces of children and warm a parents heart during a difficult time of facing a child's illness.

Met the Inmans {North Texas Family Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

Today I am thrilled to share a family with you that I have known for many many years, in fact, our children who are all now grown,  have known each other since they were tiny tots in the church nursery.   Meet the Inmans!  I was so honored & excited when Debbie called and scheduled her family session with me; it was great catching up and learning what everyone was doing now that they have graduated from college.   All three of their children are going in awesome directions building their careers.  Debbie was excited because she knew she had a window of opportunity with all of them being in the same place at the same time long enough for her to get new family portraits taken.

So Debbie & I planned out her session and met up at one of my favorite places for family portraits Trinity Park in Fort Worth, Texas.  I love it because of it's big beauitful tree's that filter light amazingly, and because it is a very large park with many different elements that provide creative and beautiful settings for families.

It was so neat to hang out with this family for a couple of hours during their photo shoot and catch up, just like old times.  It is always amazing to me how quickly time goes by, it truly seems like yesterday that our children were all hanging out in the church nursery.  But, it is joyful to see them grown up as college graduates ready to dive into new directions with careers.  What a blessing!
