Have you heard the NEWS?!!! SANTA  is coming to the studio on Saturday December 7, 2013.  We are so excited and can't wait to capture all the excitment as children come and get to spend quality time with SANTA.  It's the perfect time to get those adorable Christmas photos and to allow your child time to visit with SANTA and share their holiday wish list as well as give me a big ole' hug.  They love it.  It's one of my favorite sessions each year; it's just magical to see the excitement and pure joy in the eyes of a child.  Priceless for sure!

It super easy to book your session; simply call the studio at 972.877.4778 or email us at deanna@specialtyphotography.biz.  The session fee is just $39 and will include your session and the hosting of your online gallery.  This year you will receive your online gallery within days of your session.  You will have 7 days to view your gallery, select your favorites and complete your order.    Your gallery will have 10 - 15 images for you to preview and select from.

One of the questions that I get often is do I have to do a session fee per child?  The answer is no.  You can actually do one session fee for your children, just know that the images and time with SANTA will be shared by your children.  If you want more photos of each child, then you can actually book them each a session.  It's truly up to what works best for you and your family.    **Please note:  the combining of children in a session is limited to each individual family.

Tea Parties & TeePee's {Venus, Texas Child Photographer}

Happy Monday SP Friends...

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend filled with many memories!  My family & I had a great time relaxing hanging out with friends and family, eating great food and of course fun with fireworks.  Oh the perks of living in the country lol!

Today I want to share with you our next Limited Edition Session that is coming up in September.  Our "Tea Parties & TeePee's" LE Session is going to be a day filled with dress up and adventure.  This is sure to produce lots of smiles and timeless art of your little one.   Lot’s of creativity and exploration.  {props include: a tee pee; old vintage quilts, crates, tea set, teddy bears, pearls just to name a few}


How to dress your little adventurer:

Boys: Denim overalls or jeans and solid color button up shirt. How about adding a cute hat and going without shoes (weather permitting)
Girls: a vintage cream color dress with small flower print, or solid color vintage dress. Skirts and shirts would work great too. How about adding a cute little purse and gloves.

Highlights... Bunnies & Chicks 2013 {Venus, Texas Child Photographer}

Hi SP Friends...

I thought today I would share some of my favorite highlights from our Limited Edition sessions we had for Easter 2013 "Bunnies & Chicks" .  We had our  session about a 2.5 weeks ago on March 23, 2013 and the day was filled with laughter and so much fun.  I enjoyed meeting several new families and kiddos and they all had fun playing with our cute little bunny and chicks.

Here's a few of my favorites for you to enjoy...















 



 

Aren't they all so adorable!! :)  I loved everyone's Easter outfits and how they all mixed so well with our set design :)  But, most of all I loved seeing the laughter and excitement of all the little ones, that is what made my day so much fun.

Our set design was all new and created specifically for our "Bunnies & Chicks" day.  I love creating new set designs and giving our clients something fresh and new at each of our LE sessions.



 

I also want to say THANK YOU to Ty and Kay over at "Coops by Ty" for providing SP with an adorable little bunny and chicks.  In fact, Ty has already shared that he will have us an brand new little bunny and small fluffy little chicks for next year's LE session.  So be ready for another fun filled time for Easter 2014.  Also, take a little time to head on over to Ty & Kay's website they do amazing work and it is all custom work  {click here to visit}

Our 5th Annual "Boo @ the Barn" event has NO session Fee and is a fun, family event while making a difference in the lives of Children in the DFW area.   This year we will be collecting New Teddy Bears and/or New Toys that will be going to Cook Children's Hospital for the Christmas Season.  It's an amazing way to brighten the life of a sick child and makes a huge difference.  Our event is a first come, first serve event; meaning you do not need to make an appointment to attend.  Just stop by anytime between 4 and 8pm on October 31, 2013.   All who attend will receive a treat bag along with a Gift Card to the studio and with any donation you will also receive a complimentary 5x7 Digital Keepsake Image.



Our "Fall Leaves" set is an on location Limited Edition Set. This one can include your immediate family. This session is filled with amazing Fall Colors and always planned in a park setting. We will give you the park location once your appointment is confirmed and booked.   This is the perfect way to get a few family portraits just in time for those Holiday Cards.

Santa Claus is coming to....SP {North Texas Children Photographer}

Hi Friends...

 It's that time of year to start thinking and preparing for the Holiday Season and well one of the biggest and best highlights for all children is their visit with Santa Claus!  Here at Specialty Photography we want to make this a fun and rememorable experience for each one that comes to visit with Jolly Ole' St. Nick here at the studio.  Each session is 30 minutes long and we are encouraging each participant to bring along two outfits for the session.   One Christmas PJ outfit and one Christmas outfit; your session will include a fun interactive reading of the Night Before Christmas (in their PJ's) complete with Christmas Cookies and Milk for Santa and, the other outfit will be used when they get to sit upon Santa's knee and share with him all their wishes for Christmas.   How fun is that?!!  and.... the best part is that there are NO LONG LINES, your session is personal and completely YOUR session.  You will LOVE your images and they will indeed be a treasured gift to have as a remembrance of Christmas 2012.

It's all about YOU {North Texas Portrait Photographer}

Our next Limited Edition session is scheduled for Saturday July 28, 2012 and truly it's all about YOU!  This is a fun set with simple backgrounds that showcase your child and their talent.  Feel free to bring along sports equipment like... hockey stick, baseball, football, pom - pom's, etc.  Or have them wear their favorite colors, scarfs and hats, whatever they love.  We want them to wear it and/or bring it with them for a fun little photo shoot, that will capture their fun spirit and showcase the passion that is within them.

Daddy's Little Girl

Daddy's Little Girl - there's just nothing like that special bond.  It is such a precious precious gift and I was delighted to have the opportunity to capture a few sweet moments with Robert & his precious little girl Kendyll.  Actually Lisa, Robert's Wife, called me several weeks ago to book the session as a wonderful gift for Father's Day.   I was delighted, not only because I love what I do and this was indeed going to be a fun session, but also because I photographed Robert and Kendyll last year and Kendyll was only 3 months old.  So, I was excited to get to see them all again and to see how much little Kendyll has grown.  She is a precious 15 month old little girl with the most beautiful big brown eyes.

I had a great time playing peek a boo and catching bubbles during our session and I think I truly captured some sweet expressions.....

Limited Edition Sessions are coming to SP

Hi Friends -

I am excited to share that we will be offering a few "Limited Edition" sessions throughout the remainder of 2012 here at Specialty Photography.  I love these themed LE sessions and am looking forward to connecting with many of our current clients and hopefully gaining the love and trust of many new clients along the way.  These sessions are designed to be quick, meaning they will typically last 20 - 30 mintues and give you about 10 images to preview and to purchase from.  So it's not a HUGE commitment, but it is a wonderful way to capture your child/family as they grow and change and still have amazing portraits for your home.  You will notice a pretty nice savings for our Limited Edition session (from our traditional Professional Portriture) however, you still get our awesome work and customer service, so it's a WIN WIN!!  Our Limited Edition session fee's are only $39+tx and we have packages that start at $70.  The reason that we can do this, is our Limited Edition sessions are just that "LIMITED" we only have so many session times availabe and the sessions are generally on a specific day.  Our LE packages will start at $70 and the big difference that you will notice here is that we will not be mounting these portraits or applying our custom linen coating to the images.

To take advantage of one of our LE sessions, you will need to call the studio and pay for your session at the time of booking.  We will set up your session time and your view & order session on this phone call.  At this time we will also go over any helpful tips and or special info that you may need concerning your LE portrait session.

We are kicking off our LE sessions with this special and giving you a little longer timeframe to work with.  Instead of this session just being a specific day we are actually offering this LE session for children 7 months - 7 years NOW through April 6, 2012.  (this is a studio session) So HURRY before it's gone!
